Well, to be more accurate, it 'pops out' from the top of the sail and breaks the surface - slow so there's no feather of course. Then you hear "No close contacts" and get on about your business, or "Emergency Deep" - which sometimes sounds a lot like "Holy Shit!!"

So much for the big ocean theory.

But who's quibbling?

Besides me I mean............

I stand corrected. And edumacated, errr not.
Hope there is more no close contacts than emergency deeps
from you big ocean you.
